yes... it would be. Massive data

compared to HD .. more than 5 times

for 1040 ...more than triple... my guess with some compression

and more processing for graphic CPUs... to get all that info to be something that we can consume.

Longmire.... last episode of Season 4...

what I want though is to view Season 5 and I can't find it on the NetFlix menu.

Just finished Jessica Jones. Now I'm back to binging all 9 seasons of X-Files so I'll be up to date when the new mini series appears in January. I'm about halfway through season 7 so I should make it through in time.

4K? wish I had that option

:(
Get a 4k TV and the 4k netflix package (11.99 one) :)
Does 4K video streaming equal massive data consumption/processing? I ask because I know very little about 4K video and Google wasn't giving the right info
Yes, more data for sure, but Dan is just a bit off below.

It will be twice as much data as 1080 (Standard HD content)

Not sure where any of those numbers came from, to be honest they sound made up :p (@EarlyMon can maybe explain a bit more in depth ?

Essentially 4k is twice the resolution as HD 1080 content. HD resolution is 1920x1080, compared to 4k (or ultra hd) at 3840x2160. The '4k' comes from the fact that there are 4 individual pixels for every 1 pixel in traditional HD.

Standard DVD: 720 x 480
Low end HD: 1280 x 720
Traditional HD: 1920 x 1080
Ultra HD: 3840 x 2160

Still watching Jessica Jones. This is the first time watching something streamed that I haven't just blown it through as fast as possible. I'm going a bit slower and taking it in. It's good.

I also just watched the first episode on Continuum season 4. I don't know I'm watching this... it was bad to begin with. It's still bad. It's been long enough since I last saw it that I remember next to nothing about what's going on. I forgot several characters existed. I only remember a vague outline of the plot. At this point I guess I've seen enough of the series that I feel obligated to keep up with it.

I was watching Continuum on TV & actually stopped a couple episodes before the series finale. I never really got into it so I figured why even bother finishing.

I played a game called "Netflix Roulette" with my remote and my eyes closed because I couldn't decide what to watch, and had to spend 4 rainy days with my parents over Thanksgiving! So, you can see why I'd need to watch something.... normally I'm not a big TV watcher. The show that came up is a comedy/drama/soap opera called Sons of Anarchy about the most inept outlaw motorcycle club ever. I've just finished season 3 and so far they haven't done one outlaw thing successful. They should find work at Walmart. It's a hoot! Most of the dialog goes like this: "Now what?", "What did you do now?", "How is he/she?" with a smirk or a death stare every 15 seconds or so.

I rather doubt I'll make it to the end. Though it is pretty funny.

Love your explanation of the series!!

I skipped a season or two, but did watch most of the last season. Ending blew (imo)

I took a break from my X Files binge to watch Jessica Jones over the weekend when it first came out. I enjoyed it and can't wait for Luke Cage next year. Finished X Files and all the Murdoch Mysteries that Netflix has. Wish they would get season 8. Now I'm streaming Amazon so I can finish Man In The High Castle.

I watched the movie, The Ridiculous Six last night. I'm not much of an Adam Sandler fan, & it was stupid & politically incorrect, but I thought it was funny.

I'm starting on Jessica Jones this week. I finished Sons of Anarchy, and I can't tell you how happy I was to see all these horrible people meet their demise. Honestly someone should have just set fire to the entire town and area! Bleh!
