Help Netgear PTV3000 and miracast

I took the plunge and bought the PTV3000. I successfully downloaded the firmware update and loaded it to the device. My phone does see the PVT3000 and does try to connect. However after a minute or so of trying to connect it gives up. Has anyone else had similar problems? I rebooted my phone and the PVT3000 did not fix the problem.

It does what I want it to. I don't enjoy playing games on it since I need to see where I place my fingers on the screen...but my kids like being able to see my game on the big screen while I'm playing.

Everything else like showing photos, videos etc is cool.
