Just a brief note as my old Desire had Orange branding (didn't bother me) and bloatware on it. Lots of people really kicked off on here about it. My new One S (my second one as first one had a scuff on it) is again Orange but has no external branding & no bloatware. Credit, where credit is due.

Nice one. I was concerned about this having come from a vanilla Nexus One, but I couldn't justify an extra fifty quid for a non-branded version so bought non contract phone from 3UK; no external logos, 3 crap on booting but most bloatware can be disabled so I'm happy. Not rooted so far - haven't seen the need. I'll be unhappy if 3 are slow to release any updates at which point I guess I have the root option.
