Help Network Drops

Anyone had issues with the networking dropping? I noticed when switching from 3G to 4G (or vice versa) i get no internet connectivity even though both signal is strong and 3/4G icons are being displayed. I've had to toggle airport mode on/off and sometimes several times before it regains connectivity.

Blue and white connectivity is hit or miss as well. From my understanding this is for Google services/servers.

I have not had that issue at all. I am coming from the Galaxy Nexus (wanted the keyboard back) and have had a better data connection experience with the Droid 4 then with the GNex. Changing from 3g to 4g shows no hang up...I have better signal in areas that the GNex did horrible in.

I've had little trouble with switching between 3/4G, but I haven't had to reboot or toggle airplane mode to fix it, the problem usually goes away within seconds.

Mine has had rock solid connectivitiy. Could be the area you are in. If not then I would talk to Verizon about it.

Just an update it looks like the problem has gone away, for whatever reason. The first couple of days, Friday and Saturday, things were real shaky but I didn't experience it all day Sunday or today. Maybe it was just a time of day bug or something.

This is from Verizon technical support:

1) Blue means you have a reliable connection. White means not ready for use.

2) I had a similar problem early on. Verizon had me reboot and that fixed it. The service tech claimed the reboot allowed the sim card to get an immediate update vis a vis cell phone tower service data.
