Hello Droids, I'm a noob who would like to know if it is possible for my HTC Inspire to migrate from the AT&T to T-Mobile network.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! 
Even though AT&T and T-Mobile are both GSM networks, AT&T uses different frequency bands for 3G/4G than T-mobile. Unless the Inspire supports both, then you *could* use it but at only 2G speeds. You should ask in HTC Inspire 4G - Android Forums to see if it could work.
