OK so I downloaded an app that eventually started putting ads on my tablet. The only reason I knew it was this app was because it was the only one I had installed at the time and searching about it brings up other people having the same problem with that app. It not only pops the up in my notifications, it also puts icons on my screen and auto loads advertisements into my browser every time I wake it up. I have multiple browsers and no default so I was always asked what browser and prevented them from opening. Deleting the app seems to have gotten rid of the auto loads but not the others. I was still getting icons and notifications. So I got an airpush detector. I scanned it and the only thing that comes up is the network. Unless I'm mistaken and this is just disguised, that should be like my WiFi or something right? Only it doesn't just do it on my Wi-Fi alone. I disabled notifications from Network and it seems to have stopped the notifications but not the icons. I wanted to know if Network really is supposed to be there or if it's just a disguise for something else. If it really is supposed to be there, should I keep notifications turned off? Will that hinder anything for me? And how do I get it to stop? I'm technologically cursed.
