Network Traffic Statistics on Android 1.6??

i All,

I need to track network data usage (Byte sent/Received) info. Here am using "android.net.TrafficStats", i taken how many bytes sent & received values. but this class applicable only on version2.2+, i need to track from 1.5 and up.

In Market there have one app [3G Watch Dog], its tracking data usage info from version1.5 and up.

How its possible??? Any back around work is there???

that post was hard on the eyes...anyway, cant you look on your (carrier) account summary and see how much data you have used?
