Never Alone Game

Hi;
I downloaded and Never Alone, a game I really think my kids will enjoy, on my Z3 but I get a very common press A to continue screen I cannot get passed. The issue is something about Nividia Shield and game controller input. My device runs it fine so I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to use a virtual controller to operate the game. I did lots of searching but I couldn't find anyone who went any further than "press A to continue".
Hope one of you gurus might have a thought or potential solution.

If you've a Z3, try pairing it up with an old PS3 Dual Shock controller and seeing if that works (they connect easily via bluetooth).

Can't think of anything else to suggest; if it's waiting for the input of a physical button, I don't believe there's any way round that.
