New 2.1 update Available

[kersey]

Have just seen this post over at XDA:

NEW Update is avialble for X10 Family (OTA) - xda-developers

It seems there's an additional update for our X10's available via PC companion (size around 161mb) that improves Timescape and Mediascape speeds plus a change in keyboard.

The bad news is that Z4Root doesn't work on the update so it seems that more will be lost than gained by installing this update, especially if you don't use Timescape or Mediascape.

I find it kinda funny that people who root their phones and drastically change it from the factory configuration then blame Sony Ericsson for releasing an update that puts them back to stock. LOL

I know rooting is easy and have become common but when you do that you're assuming the risk your phone is no longer a 'known quantity' and there's no way to tell how future updates will perform. It's not SE's fault you broke your warranty and went off installing whatever you wanted

I always welcome a SE update bringing improvements to the phone, especially when the devs improve on the SE improvements making the phone the best of it's kind

O well its probably not available for us on AT&T since they haven't even released 2.1 lol.

Either try later or you could try SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service)
here the link.It is more successful than pc companion.

Another thing your service provider may not have put it threw yet so you may have to wait on them.
