New Android...Need Help....it's not running well

Hi all,

I bought a Galaxy S2 International edition about a month ago. I rooted it with Superone click. For the last few weeks I've been getting "the application ....has stopped unexpectedly" and have been forced to stop unexpectedly. I don't know what is going on. Below are my specs and some of the programs I run that I think may be causing the problems. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Android Version: 2.3.5
Baseband Version: I9100JHKI2
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-I9100JHKJ1-CL641788 root@DELL157#2
Build Number: Gingerbread.jhkj1

Programs that I think are suspicious:
applanet market
GO Launcher EX
Titanium Backup
Widget Locker
JuiceDefender Ultimate
Watchdog
Smart Keyboard
Superuser
K-9 Email
3G Watchdog
Opera Mobile/Mini
Mini Info
Airdroid

I doubt rooting it would be the cause of the problems.

Does the wrror message indicate which program is causing the problem or is it happening all the time?

You mentioned "International" version.... I'm assuming you bought this from overseas so I'm presuming you checked localised compatability right? Not that this should cause crashes.

Superuser app is installed when the phone is rooted.

Can I ask why you wanted to root the phone?

Do not delete the android app you have listsed there.

Hi Clevo89,

Thanks for your help. In terms of your questions,

There error message show up all the time on many apps. Not just one app in specific. That’s why I’m stumped as to what the cause is.

I did by the international version overseas; I am currently in the Middle East. What do you mean by “localised compatibility?”

I rooted the phone because I was told I could get rid of some of the “bloatware”, to add apps that will only work on rooted phones, and to possibly upgrade to ICS one day.

Hope this helps in diagnosing the problem, thanks

Applanet and anything you downloaded from it would be the first place to start. That is a market for pirated apps that could contain who-knows-what kinds of malware. I'm not a fan of the Juice Defender type apps either, they can make your phone do strange things, though some people swear by them.

Thanks Gmash,

I would agree that I thought these could be the problems. The applications that stop are not only those downloaded from Applanet. Also, right now I have Juice Defender off. It was causing my phone to stop unexpectedly.

The applications that came from app planet may be interfering with the others. Simply put, remove all apps taken from app planet, remove app planet, and stick to legit apps.
