Hi all - My name is Paul and I have very recently become an Android user (previously on an iPhone) and am starting to wonder if I've made a good decision. The iPhone is beautiful and works like a dream. So why change? Well, I guess it's that word - change. I saw a very good deal on a Samsung Galaxy S II, loved the reviews the phone was getting and made the leap.
I've been working through the forum trying to find answers to some of the problems I'm having and it's great to see so many people posting really useful information.
My two main issues are 1) My email (POP3) will not set up. This is clearly an Android problem and I'm amazed it hasn't been sorted. Email is fundamental to any smartphone and Google needs to get on top of this problem very quickly. My second (not so urgent) issue is that if I go to Settings > Status > My Phone Number, it shows my new number (that came with the phone) before I got my PAC code and transferred my old number over. Someone has suggested putting the SIM into a Blackberry and making the change. The point is, I shouldn't have to!
Anyway, great forum and if I stay with Android (I can still send the phone back if I choose to), then I look forward to using it regularly.
