Hey! I'm Bren and I recently made the switch from an AT&T contract iphone to Straight Talk prepaid. I have a ZTE Merit which I was originally disappointed with due to having so little internal memory, until I read a review from someone who mentioned that they rooted their phone and installed a custom ROM to gain more memory. Now I knew NOTHING about rooting or installing ROMs, but my curiousity was piqued at this point so I did some research and came across a thread in this forum that takes you through the steps of rooting and ROM installation. I found a custom ROM on Androidarea51 and after hours of careful reading and a couple of near-misses, I now have an awesome Android phone with tons of memory! 
But I've rambled on enough lol. I'm looking forward to learning more cool things about Androids and getting to know you all!
