Help New android user: Pdf file not showing up in download

Dobob

Lurker
I tried copying and pasting pdf files from my pc to my download section and they're not showing up. I am wondering how or where I am supposed to drag pdf files from my PC to on my Android Moto G 1st gen "internal storage" so that they show up on my android device and I can open them. My Android version is 4.4.4.

Do I need an SD card? I don't have an SD card plugged in. I thought the phone comes with a few gigabytes of user storage?

I created the "Documents" folder in:
Computer\XT1028\Internal storage

And it doesn't show up on my android. I can't find the "Documents" icon if there is any nor the pdf.

Why would there be a Documents icon?
Use your file manager to browse the storage.
From the file manager, select the pdf file, and have it launch the appropriate app to display the pdf.

Does the Moto G 1st gen come with a file manager? I don't see that either. I guess I have to download a file manager app. This is a brand new phone.

Get eithe es File manager, or my favorite - X-plore.
They not only allow you to browse and open files, but allow you to copy to/from
LAN or cloud storage, and even have a web server for transferring files from your PC's web browser.

Yea, I downloaded ES app. It's weird that I need an app to show pdfs not downloaded directly in android. Thanks for helping.
