Hi everyone,
Great website. Very informative. Anyhow, just jumped from iOS to Android with my new Galaxy S2 (loving it!). I was a bit dissapointed with the stock email application (no ability to change font sizes, add a few preview lines, etc..) so I am trying out K9 which is fantastic. I was doing some research about how to disable the stock gmail app from notifying me in addition to K9 when I get a new email, and the best solution I found was to turn notifications off in the stock app.
So, here is my question. Even though the notifications are off, will this impact my phone's battery life? I mean, two clients are actively involved in push gmail for the same account, seems like a waste of resources. Does anyone know of a way to simply stop the stock email application from syncing? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
