I'm retired but have a very strong electronic background due to years in the telecommunication industry working as a design Engineer. I have had computers, cell phones, and all kinds of electronic gear from the time they became affordable. I have had a Windows based Dell PDA with Wi-Fi and a feature phone for years which togeather took care of my smartphone needs. The feature phone's browers were virtually useless for viewing websites. I finally found a data plan with Verizon I was willing to pay for. I have a Family plan with one feature phone and my Android. I seldom text so data was all I wanted.I love the LG Ally with the sliding keyboard and am looking forward to the 2.2 version promised in 6 weeks. It performs to my satisfaction now. I use it more on Wi-Fi than 3G now.
