Apps New App developer, and lost!

Hi All,

I just started learning about android app development as I need to create a new application that will be part of my research project. I am looking at creating basic functions to help me understand how things work and apply it in my research topic.

I am trying to figure out how to create a simple application that in response to being shaken, takes a picture 1 second after the shaking stops while recording the GPS location at the same time (address) and save each location in a growing list. The user should be able to touch a list item and be able to view the picture taken at that location or delete it (from file system).

Please help! I dont know where to start!

You should start looking at the Notepad tutorial. This app uses a listview, which i guess you will use to to represent each touchable item.

To take a picture, you should look at the Camera class: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/Camera.html
