Help New Atrix need help

Newbie
So I got my Atrix and upgraded to the new Android system here are my questions/problems. How can I go back to not using the finger print to log on? And My music player turns off after only a few mins. I checked the settings to see if the sleep timer was on but no. Can you help me with this.
Thanks

For the finger print scanner, just go back into the security settings and re-set it back up. It should have carried over, but sometimes those settings drop.

For the Music player cutting out, open the stock Task Manager app (in the app drawer) and verify that the MUSIC app, the GALLERY app and any other music app you might be using are NOT on the "Auto Kill" list.

There is some dependent resources linked to the GALLERY app that is needed for the media players. So, if it's getting killed, it kills the music. If you ask me, someone screwed up setting those dependencies!

On a side note, I also recommend Power Amp for the media player. It's a $5 app, but you can download a 2 week trial. It's the best media player I've ever used on a mobile device!!!!

I'm wanting to go back to NOT using the finger print or pin. And I'll check the other settings
Thanks

Sorry, I missed the "NOT" in your original post... :o

Just go back into the security settings, go to the "Setup Screen Lock" settings (You will have to put in your pin or swipe your fingerprint at the next screen) - then choose "NONE" - the top option.

At this point, you will still have to "Slide" to unlock, but you won't be asked for any kind of verification (PIN, Fingerprint, Password, Iris Scan, Vice print, Blood sample..... :D)

I just checked this and YES that was what it was! Thanks again! So is there a way to show my music in the music player on the start up screen instead of the recommended stuff? Show my albums or artist here?

Not sure... I HATE the stock Music player and use Power Amp. (And recommend it.... best $5 I ever spent on an app!!!!)

I do know that, with the GB update, a lot of people hated the changes made to how the stock music and gallery apps work. That's just something you'll have to poke around in the settings within that app and see if you can find.

I use PowerAmp Pro as well and it is the best player out there. With it, you can set it to show the music player widget, over the lock screen, and control the music without having to unlock the phone. Well worth the money.
