Root New Boost Mobile "system update is ready" and I'm Rooted...

FR212

Newbie
I'm surprised, my HTC One SV for Boost Mobile has a new system update: 3.05.653.4 (16.62 MB). I'm rooted and want to keep root. Should I ignore the update and keep root?

While installing the system update my phone restart and goes to TWRP Recovery (2.8.0.1). My phone won't let me update. Is there a way around this while keeping root and my data?

I assume the update doesn't work because I deleted a couple of pre-installed system apps. I did made sure to make backups, except I didn't copy IMEXT9Swedish.apk. :( Any help would be great, thanks.

The system update message keeps popping up. I don't mind losing my data. I would like to do the system update. How do I go about updating?

I found this:

What I did to install the system update and then re-root.

  1. First, I restored my stock backup using TWRP.
  2. Reflash the stock recovery from firmware.zip from OTA_K2_CL_JB422_SENSE50_MR_Sprint_WWE_Boost_3.05.6 53.4-3.05.653.3_release_389326.zip with fastboot. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
  3. Rebooted my phone and simply checked for update and let it install. :)
  4. After that, I did a factory reset to make sure I have a clean update (optional).
  5. And finally I used fastboot to reflash TWRP. Now, I'm good to go with the latest software update. :)
