Help new cheap SD card not working HELP!!!!

I bought a cheap SD card off ebay (I know I know horrible idea) but its not working out of the 10 pics I took only 2 of them r still viewable the rest r corrupt. I was wondering if formatting it would help or if I would just be wasting my time

try formatting in pc, then in phone. see what happens, but cud b duff.
