I'm Teophne and I'm an addict, for cool gadgets, including and especially mobile phones. I live in Finland happily tapping away with my trusty old *gasp* iPhone 4.
I've been eagerly waiting for iPhone 5 release and as you might have read elsewhere - gotten a bit disappointed by it like many others. I mean it's most likely a brilliant phone but a year ago they promised so big things for iPhone 5, new form factor and all, accompanied with the passing of Steve Jobs (may he rest in peace) and finally at the verge of the new release all the little problems (iOS 6 maps, light leak, paint peeling off of aluminum, bubbly screen etc) I thought Apple is not what it was before.
I started looking for alternatives and stumbled upon Galaxy Note 2 release rumors. My current computer usage is pretty minimal since I got an iPhone 3G four years ago. I had been using my phone to do most of my computing and gaming, which is a lot.
I thought Note 2 might be too big to be used with one hand only, yet here I am typing away two handed. Needless to say I fell in love with Note 2. Still haven't touched one myself but I had a little cope and feel with Note 1 at a local store. I gotta admit it felt too big and S3 I tried next seemed more than perfectly sized.
Still, I'm hoping Note 2 would not let go of me once I finally get to touch one. Otherwise I'm going to have to wait for S4.
So that's my story with Android so far. Hoping it would fit me better than iOS which I felt rather limited even when jailbroken. After all I've never learned to comfortably use Mac OSX on my laptop while Linux is a lot more familiar OS for me.
Get ready to be harassed by a lot of newbie questions about Android and stuff. In return I hope to bring insight into iOS and iPhone wherever it's needed.
