new droid, Need help_--Please

I just got my droid and new to androids. I cant get the droid to get music from my computer. Know how to set up usb and from that point on no matter what I do cant seem to get it to work. Can someone please give me a step by step on how to load music to my droid. I love this thing and want to make it better. Also are videos the same way?

Don't know about droid but on my eve I do the following;

Plug the usb from phone to pc.
Open notification
usb mass storage then mount SD card (maybe in the other order for this last step)

When unpluging it.
Stop usb service from pc.
stop from phone in notification again.

Take a look at software called DoubleTwist, you might get good use from it

This is the easiest and fastest way to get started I think.
Mount The USB. Pull down phone messages and confirm mounting.
Then go to "My Computer" Right Click on Removable Device> Click Open. Your files Open.
Open My Music or files. Drag files to Removable Device.
That's it. BTW where your file are located is the "Root" of the phone.
