New Droid owner and question

Hello all,
Just got a new Droid. So far I love it. I've never had a smart phone before and can't believe I waited this long.

Question about battery life: it seems like I can only keep a charge for 24 hrs with sporadic use. Much less with frequent use. Since I've never owned a smart phone before I wonder, is that normal?

(I did a search but didn't find much in regards to this)

Yep. It depends on HOW you use your phone of course, but yeah, not unusual.

I have had smart phones for a number of years and have normally found it best to at least charge the phone every night when I got to sleep.

Certain activities like streaming music and not using power management to turn off functions your not using like GPS and wifi will drain your battery. When indoors dimming the screen is a great idea. I suggest using the power widget.

Thanks Crazy J - I did put the power widget on one of my homescreens and turned everything off.

The biggest drains are the screen brightness and GPS, in my opinion.

yeah, quick dying battery is normal, just wait, it will condition itself
