New ETA on Honeycomb Update

Did you buy it new? There were some boxes saying it had 3.1...i assume your's didn't?
Sorry bought it used on eBay for $84, it simply arrived yesterday. I bought it with no knowledge of what version it was running, or would be running. It was kind of an impulse purchase. I had remembered seeing the Revue going for hundreds the last time I checked, and when I saw it this low, decided to hop aboard and try it out finally.

Something just occurred to me because of the tech blogs mentioning that Google Music is on Google TV. Well, that's true for the Sony versions because they're on Honeycomb now...and Sony is a partner in Google Music. So maybe Google was pushed to finish the Google TV update for the Sony hardware specifically so that they would be ready for Google Music. Logitech hardware got put on the shelf.

It's probably more to do with Logitech having a less vanilla version of Android on their boxes (media player for a fact).

Doubt that since that is more of a bloatware kinda thing. 'vanilla' refers to an actual change in the operating system, which this does not (i'm pretty sure)

Well still no update for my Revue yet. It better get here soon, or this baby is going back and I'll just wait for the new boxes next year. I read about something from Samsung.

Still no update. It's been almost two weeks from their last announcement of 2 more weeks. I'm pretty much done with the Revue. It's slow, does not have an update they have been promising since the beginning of time and won't have any more support due to Logitech leaving the platform. Done, I'm going to go pick up a Sony and then hopefully either a Sony, Samsung or LG tv next year for the bedroom. Logitech is a subpar electronics company compared to the other three anyways.

Anyone want to buy my revue off of me?!?!? Guaranteed to be slow and behind the times for the future of Google Tv. Yay!

On a side note: Logitech is complaining of losing all this money due to the lack of sales of the revue. I question why they lost so much money. I believe it was because of their inability to price the product properly. First it was overpriced and then it was under priced. Didn't think to check that ground in the middle?!? The revue's have been flying off the shelves at all the retail outlets I know that carry them. They priced it too low. I know I know, alot of you are going to come on here and say that you would only pay $100 for it. When in reality I bet if it was priced at $149 or $129 you would have been at the register giving them your money. Unfortunately we won't ever know for sure how much they really lost. Yes, they say they lost $100 million but I find that hard to believe. Logitech overpriced the product, then under priced it and then cried foul to Google. How about stepping up, updating it quickly and then come out with a better box that you can make money off of? Not every product is winner, you win some you lose some. Build upon the clientele you already have and come out with a better product. In the end Google has plenty of manufacturers to produce product and in my eyes, three of the best manufacturers out there.

Good luck Logitech, I enjoyed your product for a very short time.
