New EVO4:

[~ Duane ~]

Hello,

I just bought a new evo4 phone and want to learn where I can find the download for simple root OTA edition; I have goolged this,
but none of the links seem to have the download. I have already installed HTC sync, just need sm OTA, also I watched the y-tube
video by Chris Chavez on doing this. I would appreciate any help!

Welcome to the Android Forums!

A root OTA edition? I apologize but this statement is confusing. Updates to the phone are typically received via OTA broadcast. Rooting apps, since they are typically not supported by Google and the manufacturers, can frequently be found on Android forums/web sites and side-loaded to the phone.

Maybe one of the links in the following thread will be of asssitance to you...
