Hello I'm new to the forum, not new to the droid,
but I just got an HTC thunder bolt, I have a symbol
that looks like the crosshair of a gun.
Does anyone know what this is?

Welcome to AF.

That symbol would indicate your GPS antenna was on. It will blink when it's actively seeking a satellite signal.

Thanks the symbol for the Gps, to me looks more like a tv dish in
The front yard. Not the crosshairs of a gun . A circle with two lines that meet in the center.

That symbol means you've selected a check box in "location and security" so that the system can detect where you are (well, where your phone is ).
