Apps New Free Cross Platform Game Engine (Mark-up driven)

pocketeers

Newbie
Hi fellow developers,

Just a quick message to let you all know about our free open source mark-up driven game engine IwGame. Its been more than 6 months in development and is on its 10th iteration. We just released our first Android game to the market that was developed in 3 days (5 days if you include the built in game editor) with this engine (its 90% mark-up based). We will also be releasing the full source to cOnnecticOns this weekend.

More info about the game engine can be found at Mobile Game and App Programming Tutorials | DrMop
More info about cOnnecticOns can be found on the Android Market at https://market.android.com/details?id=com.pocketeers.connecticons

The engine is cross platform and is built atop the Marmalade SDK, so iOS, Bada and Blackberry versions will also be available very soon.

Thanks

Mat

you realize your selling the game for 99 dollars.

haha, thank you for pointing that out. If you had not the game would have been sat on the Android Market for the next few months as the most expensive game of all time :)

No, the problem is the Android Market developer panel is a little on the dumb side. I enter the price in GBP, but when the currency is converted to other currencies, some of the values drop below the minimal threshold for that country, so you have to go through and manually edit each currency that has dropped below the threshold. The minimum price in the US is $0.99 and the Japanese market is 99 yen, I entered the US value after the Japanese value, mixing the value up. By rights the Android Market developer control panel should auto set the minimums for you to prevent mistakes like that from happening.
