New from Chicago!

Hey all, received my Droid X about a month ago and have been looking forward to getting to work on it! I joined this forums (along with Droid X Forums) with the intent of learning how to root and overclock my phone. I understand the basic concept of rooting, but any and all help is appreciated!

For having a 1GHz CPU, I'm a little surprised how laggy my phone can get... maybe a root/overclock will fix this?

Also, any word on the release date of Gingerbread 2.3? I assume it will be available for the Droid X...

Motorola will likely release an update to Gingerbread but it'll likely be a while...
