Help New Gingerbread update problem

Hi, I just noticed that you can no longer clear the defaults for HTC Sense in the settings/applications. I think it is why my magic locker is working but I get a flash of the sense locker before it opens to the home screen. Anyone know how to fix this other than rooting. I tried a home switcher but when I choose the default launcher and turn of sense when I go back it is still on.

Thanks,
Gemmy

I did a battery pull and I am still unable to remove default settings in the htc sense. I hate to start all over again, does anyone else have any other Ideas? I didn't pull the battery till I shut down my phone is that the correct way to do a battery pull? It has worked for me in the past.

I just tried to use my phone and it just started downloading the update on its own. Worried that it may brick since I am rooted and dont want to pull battery because it is almost done when I realized it. Guess I just have to wait and see what happens. Did anyone else have this happen to them. I always had to approve downloads in the past and this just did it on its own !

This is a good reason to check the All Things Root section often, once you are soft bricked go here and follow my instructions to unbrick your phone and then either flash the OTA rom or the stock recovery so you can get on the newest version of the firmware
