Hey All,
I just got my ESTEEM on MetroPCS and tried rooting with oneclick, cwr, and rzr nothing works I think it is something to do with the su but not 100% sure anyone have any suggestions on how to get this thing rooted so I can really start to play.

You may have the zvc version, which is unrootable at this time. Go to settings -> about phone. You should find your version there. If it is C you'll have to downgrade to B. There is a guide in the all things root thread for doing this

Chances are you have the ZVC update which is unrootable at the moment. Go into your settings then to about phone and look under SW Version. If you have ZVC you will have to downgrade to ZVB by following GBiggie's guide in the All Things Root sub forum.
 
If you are still here I can work with you while you achieve ZVB, root, CWM, and whatever else you intend to do tonight.
 
I have the ZVB version, and I have no idea howto do any of this, Is there an idiots guide somewhere here? I am the idiot!!!!
 
I have lg drivers, but whether they are the right ones I am not sure, I am reading all of the forums, and hoping to get a better idea.as to how to do this.

When you connected your phone to the computer, what mode did you set the phone in? Charge, USB, or Internet? It has to be in Internet Connection with USB Debugging Enabled.
 
The drivers are in the phone already just connect to pc and try internet, charge,are mass storage mode and a pop up should show asking to install drivers after you install them reboot your phone while still connected to computer to make sure all drivers installed correct.
