New Htc owner :)

Hi

I have just required a new Htc Desire,(am new to android and my first smartphone) Am just wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction of what apps i require if i want the best out of my Desire and as bug free as possible.
I will be useing my Desire for surfing the web( downloading music, playing games)...and the making calls I have looked through some forums etc, but still yet undecided as there is a lot of choice on the market place!
Any feedback would much apperciated

My suggestion is to read these forums A LOT, you'll learn quite a bit!

dolphin browser hd or skyfire are exelent web browsers for android.
Barcode scanner is also very useful(you can find many apps online with qr codes)
Angry Birds is the best game ever, and its even free!
