New Indulge Boot Animation (WIP)

NOTE: THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. AT THIS PRESENT TIME YOU CANNOT INSTALL IT WITHOUT A NEW AND SPECIAL KERNEL WHICH DOES NOT EXIST YET. I'M WORKING ON GETTING IT TO WORK WITHOUT ROOT OR FLASHING.
I took the waving and peeking Android Guy Eris boot animation and replaced "Eris" with the word "Indulge".

P.S. Let me know if it works right.

I no longer have an Indulge. I rooted my friend's Indulge and he asked if I can change his power on sound and boot animation. I looked it up and we liked the Eris one so I told him I could change it to Indulge but I had to do it frame by frame and he didn't have time to stay.
It's a stock Android procedure so it'll work fine.
When following the instructions just consider any of the HTC aspects of it as Samsung.

My one concern is any noticeable changes in the black around the Android guy.

nice job but if im not mistaken on stock all teh bootanimations are in qmg format which cant be edited, need a custom rom/kernel for bootanimation.zip to work

I assumed that since it uses Google's developer's tools it would work for every phone. I'll try it on my Charge tomorrow.

it will work on the phone.. just by default bootanimation.zips are blocked so that playlogo can run, you need to go in and edit the system to make it play the .zips (which require kernel edits.. which they dont have yet :( )

It's not working yet. In fact I bricked my fu@king Droid Charge trying to find a work-around. Don't worry, I fixed but I'm still a little sore from the ordeal.

Samsung uses a new an TOTALLY proprietary image compression method called Qmage. It's actually quite wonderful. The images are of much higher quality this way, but there's no software available to open and edit these "qmg" files that make up the bootanimation.

I really need to get a hold of my Indulge which I gave to my friend but he's being a complete and utter f@ggot right now. He's an ex Navy Seal so if I try to get froggy with him, he would kick my fu@king a$$ up and down and all over the place.

I'm working on it...by hook or by crook....come HELL OR HIGH WATER...I will get this animation to work.

thank you

The custom ROM/kernel has custom boot animation support and has a custom animation built in. This would be a replacement for those who wish to use it.

HAHA I still can't give up on this phone.....and I don't even have it anymore.
Well, my friend has it so I kinda still have it.

ANYWAY....will the installation process be the same as what I posted?

Oh and hurry up you bastids....this one is almost done!
