Hello people,

I have been using Android for the past 4 years and think its really good. I'm not a tech geek, just enjoy the features Android offers. I've never joined a forum before so its difficult to think what to write, but lets see how things develop. I have often referred to this sight for tips and info and now "leap" into increasing awareness further, confidence and make better use of phone and Android features. Phonee is Galaxy S2 I9100P. I will admit this NFC interests and bothers me at the same time. Interest - how much can it be used for, bothers - how safe is my information that i (could potentially) put on the phone?

Glad you came out of lurker status and joined. You'll be hooked in no time. My phone also has NFC and honestly, its uses are pretty limited. I'm not sure what country you live in, but there may be a lot more uses for you to take advantage of. In terms of security, the main app like Google Wallet does require a PIN input for you to use it (every time). But, like all technology, if someone really wants to hack it, it's possible.

Thanksto those good people that have welcomed me. I'ts good to know there's so much going onout there and to b able to share in that is antastic. I commented on NFC and looking around for info it definately sounds like it's the way to go. Anyway, lts see how things go. Thanks again.
