Help New Kit-kat time lag for charge to start

Simon_Gardner

I succumbed to Kit-kat. So there's a real weirdness now.

Plug my Note 3 into the charger and it takes maybe a minute, perhaps two before charging appears actually to start. It's not a particular problem but it wasn't happening on the previous OS.

Can anyone replicate this?

Here's what I see. With screen on no LED indicator (no big deal lol) screen off 1/2 second to 1 second led indicator for charging to come on. T-Mobile USA Note 3.

I would imagine we have the same device Simon (SM-N9005) running the BTU 4.4.2.

No such issues here. plugging in and charging is virtually instantaneous as always.

Not knocking you brother but maybe you should've just waited for the official release. I have a Note 3 and a Galaxy 4 and my Galaxy I upgraded last week and was really like what did I need to do that for. There's nothing noticeable that changed from 4.3 to 4.4. People wait next time and don't rush to restore your phones with these unofficial releases, they do more damage to your phone in some cases.

It is an official release. 4.4.2 has been available OTA and via Kies 3 since Tuesday, at the latest for the BTU (UK unlocked and SIM free SM-N9005, Samsung Galaxy Note 3) and even earlier for those with Vodafone (a UK network).

Faulty charging/Data lead. Explained a lot of more recent problems with file transfer too.
