Help New lg g2x problem linking up to computer

Hi,
I am new here this is my first post. I just bought my first android smartphone the LG g2x for t-mobile. It is only my second smartphone my last was the basic blackberry curve. I am semi computer literate but in no way an expert.
So anyway I tried to hookup my phone to my laptop which is a gateway nv55c I3-370 dual core processor with 4gig ram. Running windows 7. I would like to note that I keep my computer in tip top shape so I am prety sure that it is not the computers problem it is the phone or something. I can get the usb mass storage to work but that is it. The guy at the store said that you dont need a disk because everything is plug n play. My blackberry came with a disk. Windows cant find any drivers for it.
Is there a website that I can go to to get the drivers for it or do I have to get a disk with the drivers or is there just something else that can be done? I would think that there wold be something. Any help woulde greatly appricated. I heard about this site and it comes highly recomended by the folks at howtogeek.com or some of there users anyway. I dont know if any of the mods actually recomended you. but I think they did.

Okay I figured it out I don’t know why I didn’t think to just Google it in the first place. I knew it had to be on the lg website somewhere it was just where to find it. I actually went to a different site and downloaded a zip file with the drivers. Here is the link just in case anyone else needs to do the same: http://www.lgforum.com/resources
I think that this is the direct link: http://s3.amazonaws.com/lgforum.com/resources/assets/670/original/LG_T-Mobile_Android_USB_Driver_v2.2.zip?1303408893
If the second one doesn’t work then I know the first one definitely does.
Thank you for helping me with this problem, I’m sure I will be back with many more questions.
