New LG Phones in August?

A friend who also has an Android phone on the CDMA platform with Metro told me I should wait until August to decide on a new phone to replace my LG Motion. She said if there are any new LG phones coming out, they could come out in August. She said August is a good month for a lot of new things to come out due to kids going back to school. What do you all think? Will LG come out with any new phones in August?

The LG Motion was one of those phones that came out for back to school. Most times they also have good sales.

They just added the LG Optimus L70, which I have. So far, it's a pretty good phone.

I saw that one in the store along with the Optimus F6. The L70 has the new KitKat, but the F6 does not. The L70 is not LTE, either, which as I was told, means that upload speeds could be as much as 100 times slower then the F6. I figure there has to be a happy medium between these two phones. I do not want to lose speed. After all, Internet connection is the main reason I have for using a smart phone. If I did not need an Internet connection, and a fast one at that, I would not bother with a smart phone.

the thing to keep in mind going from the motion to those phones is the massive drop in storage space, you get about 1.2 gigs to store apps.

I`m hoping that they come out with a good mid tier phone aka Motion/Spirit in the upcoming months that has the storage space, if they do at a good price alot if those guys waiting it out would switch over earlier!

and with google fazing out apps2SD capability that much internal storage is nearly inoperable.

I am going to keep waiting and using my LG Motion until either they offer a phone I feel good about, or I find an unlocked phone I like a lot and can bring it to MetroPCS. I do not know of another provider that has a better coverage area for the price, which is why I have stuck with MetroPCS.

Cricket has a much better coverage area for the same price. There owned by att.

The LG G3 was recently announced, projected to be released by major carriers by July. Could come to metro by August if metro ends up carrying it.

It'll have a hefty price tag though I'll imagine.

HunnieBunnie, I don't know who's telling you upload speeds on the L70 will be up to a hundred times slower than the F6.

My upload speeds on H+ on my F6 really aren't that different from LTE, here's an example. The top test is H+, the bottom is LTE.

Mine. Top is H+ bottom is LTE. It's going to be hard to see H+ going above 3mbps on the upload and on 10x10 for lte it's a max of 23mbps and goes up when 15x15 and 20x20 come around
