on a whim i just tried the "live folders" - just to see what it was about

"wow"



i moved my standard "people" widget off of my front page and moved the starred (ie "favorite") people live folder in its place (people's going to 2nd page - not too far away! i need it too!ol)


pandora's live folder... NICE!

its almost like a widget on its own!




anyway.. anyone else seen this feature? anyone else using it??

i think this feature might be getting lost in all the excitement about other things in the hero - i don't hear/read anybody talkingabout it.. i gotta assume no one is!
 
i'm getting some ideas on how to employ folders (the regular folders)

i'm "mr organized" when it comes to these sorts of things - love this!
 
would you mind explaining what this does a little more? i dont see the live folders option.. clearly i have to set it up somewhere..
 
marc.. long press anywhere on a home screen page

teh last option (on mine anyway) is "folder" - click that




now you're given two more options - new folder and live folder

i have pandora, obviously they made a live folder and i just haven't seen it till recently - but its a cool feature



seems like this would be a really cool feature for any app to have (it dynamically keeps information up to date in an easy-to-access format - handy!)

i just don't think its getting much attention yet - or ppl don't know about it - ??




also.. the regular folders are proving quite useful - all news websites go into one, place quick "call to this contact" shortcuts in another

i'd like to hear how other ppl are using theirs!
 
Picked up the Sprint Hero yesterday...

...things like this is why I am here. I've never joined a forum for a mobile platform yet...but this is definately worth it!

thanks. i did that. the icon i see is not a "folder" but rather a memo looking icon with a "P" top right. "stations" is whats under it.. yes im speaking about the pandora program..

so i clicked on it and it just opened up pandora as normal.. now i ask kindly that you go easy on me as i still dont see what this is doing over just clicking the regular pandora icon... go easy on me.... appreciate ya!
 
Also under the live folders is the facebook phonebook, which creates a listing of every facebook friend with a phone number listed on their page for one touch dialing.
 
Yeah , I saw the Facebook Live folder. Nice & handy!

If you have people selected as favorites then this might be for you. I have several people that i communicate with regularly but the actions are different. The people widget will only allow you to set a default action. you can also have a shortcut to the people but I didnt like the way the icons look on the screen so I found this:

It doesnt look at cool as the people widget but on a fresh screen you can show your favorite people and when you touch them it opens the whole contact card so you can choose the action

Fresh screen - add - live folder - starred

This is all your favorite people and the ability to show their entire contact info when you touch them
 
It would be nice if you could change the color of the folder, instead of it just being white.

I know probably asking to much but it can do everything else.
