New look for notification bar?

This is my first post so i cant post pictures and sorry if its in the wrong place, but i was playing with my girlfriends ipod the other day and pulled down her notification bar to see it looked alot nicer than the android one. I believe this is because each notification is seperated with little bars with Xs on the end that can clear an individual apps notifications. Hope you get what im talking about without me showing a picture so sorry i cant :(. Is there anyway android could do that i love android and that is almost the only thing i like about ios besides having cool apps ahead of time.
 
so you prefer the iOS notification bar because they have a little "x" on each notification? hmm...

in ICS, you can clear individual notifications by swiping on them. Its better than pushing a little "x" in the corner.
 
no i just like the seperation of each tab i love the swipe away notifications which is why im sticking with an android but i love how organized the iphone feels... lol if you get what im saying i just like to see all my notifications under a heading than to have all of them stacked with a number icon on each notification
 
You mean you want to have like 10 separate notifications for each SMS you get instead of one notification saying you have 10 messages? Thats so disorganized. I'm not even sure the iPhone works that way? At least I haven't seen more than 1 notification for SMS on my friend's iPhone since he reads right away.
 
You guys are taking offense lol I'm not taking anything away from Android I just like how the iPhone looks is all the setup seems cool wish I could add a pic but I can't

I get what you are saying. It does come across as a little more organized having them all separated by category. Just a different way of doing things. Something Android may adopt (if Apple hasn't patented it yet) in future versions.

The big problem I would have with it is the fact that it is all or nothing. I wouldn't have the option to remove missed call one, but leave missed call two in my notifications. Leave one sms there and remove the other. It reminds me of going back to voicemail before visual voicemail where I had to listen to the whole message from start to finish in the order they arrive instead of skipping to the important one I needed to hear.

Same story as always though, what works for some.....

I say, if you really like it you should try and talk with a developer. Others wanted iPhone notifications in the past, they may want this too.
 
Sadly to say, if you want to change the notification bar of android, you need to install a custom Status Bar.apk (and that is if your phone is rooted)...but anyways, there is no such notification bar mod for android yet...:(
 
BUT if you are rooted and you do enjoy the IOS look then you can always try out MIUI, which is a custom ROM that emulate the IOS look. I don't always like apple, but when I do, it's because it's very sleek.
 
thanks i have miui and its a bit buggy...fc incoming calls and swipe away notifications but i love the UI i going to look into the ios look though thanks
