Help new magic owner, some issues...

hello guys, just got my Magic not too long ago... however, i ve encountered some problems when using it...

1) Bluetooth
i have been using a SE W910i, and wanted to transfer my contacts to the Magic via Bluetooth. the W910i can find all the other phones fine (another W910i, SE W810i, Nokia N95 8GB), and yet it cannot find the Magic... however, the Magic can find my W910i without any problem...

2) HTC Sync
i have installed HTC Sync 2.0.8 on my laptop (Win7 Pro x64), and when i try to sync the Magic, it says cannot detect HTC Sync on my laptop... any ideas??? i am sure the USB cable has been connected nicely, since i can mount the SD card to the computer...

3) ROM flashing
i noticed on HTC Southeast Asia website, that there's a ROM update for Magic (dated 10 Nov 2009, ROM Version: 3.03.707.5) i ve downloaded it and tried to upgrade the ROM but failed, throwing me an error (ERROR [170]: USB CONNECTION ERROR) could it be that i am using a customized ROM from the telco???

1: have you checked the ''discoverable'' option in the bluetooth settings?

actually, i am more concerned with point No3... i don't want to get stuck with the firmware from the carrier, which usually takes forever to push down any updates with regard to Android...

Actually no2 is also important, only sync before you can upgrade the rom.

How come still no solution..., wanna sync~~ not SD mount...

1. HTC Magic doesn't support file transfer. That's the problem.

3. It doesn't matter what ROM you use before you upgrade, since the upgrade removes everything on your phone before it puts the ROM on it.
