Hi everyone, I've built computers but new to phone rooting. My daughter gave me her HTC sensation which is locked to Vodaphone (Australia)
model Z710a Android version 2.3.4. HTC sense 3.0 Baseband 1.5.0.862.1 Kernel Z.6.35.13 Build 1.50.862.1 carrier Vodaphone Australia (expired but still locked)
I used revolutionary and H-boot shows S-OFF. In the pink area it shows revolutionary.
I copied superuser 2.3.6.3 zip to phone SD card (NOT in a folder) and flashed through recovery.
I installed clockwork mod manager and it said it couldn't find superuser and I needed to root.
I installed root checker and it also said superuser not found.
I tried later versions of superuser but didn't make any difference.
I installed clockwork recovery but that didn't make any difference.
Question 1. If I have S-OFF does that mean that the bootloader is unlocked?
(I didn't do that because I thought I didn't need to when using revolutionary) I don't think I can now use "HTC unlock bootloader" because I now have a different H-boot version to original.
I can't go through the revolutionary process again as the command box is not staying on the screen. (I assume that's because I do have S-OFF)
I've installed the HTC drivers and JDK & SDK drivers.
I've researched forums for help but seem to have come to a dead end now so I thought I might ask for help, thanks.
