hi all.. i just got this new HTC EVO 4G. I am an ex iphone4 user... i love this new phone btw. i switched over because my iphone 4 had dropped out my pocket and cracked the screen. so i figured id just buy a new glass but they cost $200. I callled apple and they say its not covered under apple care. I went to the store and they offered me a new one for $200. It seemed like a good deal because to get a new phone without contract is like $600. However, what happens when i drop it again next week... what do i have to keep buying new phones everytime it falls.... everyone drops there phone on occasion, no one is perfect and att just started insurance with the iphone 4 but the cost is CRAZY!!! When i inqiured about the insurance it was $15 a month and $200 deductable... just pure insane... so here i am with an HTC EVO 4G!!!! :O) my iphone was jailbroken and it was a peice of cake to do.... all u had to do was go to a website called jailbreamme.com and swipe the slider and WALA!!! seems very involved to have the EVO rooted... i was looking for a privacy sms app and it doesnt seem that the market place has anything good at all and the ones i have tried dont work... everything still ends up in the main SMS app anyway... i used to use an app call IBLACKLIST for iphone and it was the best app ever for sms privacy. does anyone know of any good sms apps that can filter sms messages from certain contacts into the app and not have them go into the default sms app. Any help is greatly appreciated and so far im lovin the HTC EVO 4G!!

To protect the screen on your phone consider looking at the purchase of a case. Several manufacturers make cases that are very good at protecting the phone from damage during a fall.
Rooting an EVO 4G can be challenging sometimes as phones with newer versions of HBOOT cannot currently be rooted. Check out the following link for more information...
