Help new message order

My girlfriend has this phone.

A few weeks ago she updated the software on the phone. The problem is now when she gets a text message and goes into her messages the message at the top of the conversation is the oldest message. In order to view the newest message or the new message she has just received, she has to manually scroll down all the way the bottom of her conversion from that person. This takes a good while, especially if it's a friend who messages her quite often.

Does anyone know why this is happening? If so, does anybody know how to rearrange the messages so that the newest message would appear first or at the top of the conversation?

I've heard of this happening on the Legend but not on the Desire.

This happens to me when the phone alternates between landscape and portrait when its actually loading the message, as ive got about 12000 messages off my gf I hate it when it happens as it takes a year to load the message anyway.

Try pressing the menu button , all messages, then opening the message again
