I'll try my best to assist you with the camera problem/error you are having in the above post, but as for rooting your Admire, I should direct you to the All Things ROOT guide. It has everything you need to know about your Admire and Root, One Click Root didn't work for me, I'm running 2.3.6 on my Admire, but flashing
(Installing) update.zip from the 2.3.6 root thread worked for me, you'll see it when you get there. So, explore through, they have brief explanations and step-by-step instructions on stuff that you'll need.

It'd take quite some space and time to explain everything in this post alone, I'd have to fit in a couple threads to make it work out because you'll have to replace your current recovery with a new recovery called ClockWorkMod
(CWM for short) and install a simple .zip file, and you're rooted. You should be running 2.3.6, if you're not, there are guides in the link too, just use the upgrade tool to get from 2.3.4. Hope I made that simple enough since you're probably new to root.
