Root New need help rooting samsung admire!!!!!

I am so VERY CONFUSED!!!! I do not understand all the lingo. I know there was an old link to root that apparently doesnt work anymore. I need help step by step if possible to root this phone. Also the camera doesnt work it gives some sort of an error. Any input would be helpful. Thanks :)
 
What exactly does the camera error say? Do you have a microSD card with enough space to take photos? Is your phone charged above 15%?
 
I'll try my best to assist you with the camera problem/error you are having in the above post, but as for rooting your Admire, I should direct you to the All Things ROOT guide. It has everything you need to know about your Admire and Root, One Click Root didn't work for me, I'm running 2.3.6 on my Admire, but flashing(Installing) update.zip from the 2.3.6 root thread worked for me, you'll see it when you get there. So, explore through, they have brief explanations and step-by-step instructions on stuff that you'll need. :D

It'd take quite some space and time to explain everything in this post alone, I'd have to fit in a couple threads to make it work out because you'll have to replace your current recovery with a new recovery called ClockWorkMod (CWM for short) and install a simple .zip file, and you're rooted. You should be running 2.3.6, if you're not, there are guides in the link too, just use the upgrade tool to get from 2.3.4. Hope I made that simple enough since you're probably new to root.
 
To boot into cwmr, just power the phone off all the way, then press and hold the volume down, power, and back button, when the samsung screen pops up, only release the power button and keep the other buttons down. Search on YouTube if you don't quite understand. Search on how to boot Samsung admire into recovery.
 
I fixed the google play problem camera says can not connect still can not figure out how to root which link should i use? when i use the one you said it says i have no zip on my sd card :(

Wha? That thread doesn't update your phone to 2.3.6 lol?? Well first I'd suggest going to the samsung website and download the 2.3.6 update from there and flash that so you have a fresh stock rom with no problems before you start flashing any roms.

I forgot to mention i already did that lol I am confused do you download the zip file to your phone then copy to the sd card or laptop to the sd card? I tried from the phone but it said extracting and copied then when botted into cwm it said there was no file there....

There should be no extracting. I don't think you can download a zip file directly to your phone. All downloaded files go to your sdcard.
