Hi I'm new here and I really need help since I dont really understand a lot of technical stuff related to these phones. I have a Android Ally LG version 2.2.1 build number FRG83D. I have been trying to root this phone for the past few days with no luck. I cant find extracted fileson my phone or anything. I tried using ZR4 root, that didnt work. can anyone tell me how to do this in lamens terms.? :confused:i need step by step because im obviously not that good at this. also i was wondering anyone have any app recommendations for this phone, what are the coolest/favorites?

You should start here. You should be able to find all the info you seek.

Just because it's possible doesn't mean you should root or need to. Rooting is not for everyone.

Ask yourself, 'What do I need to do that requires root?'. Probably nothing. I use my phone for lotsa stuff but never need to root it. Usually, rooting is more just for fun.

And if you simply don't have the expertise to search for info yourself, figure out how and follow the instructions, then maybe you should wait, read and learn until you do. Might save you a lot of unnecessary grief and frustration.
