Root [NEW] New Rooting Program Found for Hydro

Hey all

I just discovered today, a program that allowed me to finally root my Kyocera Hydro.

It's called RootGenius from a company in China. The link is

I have tried all the other methods listed and only this one gave me root. The page is in Chinese so you may want to use Google Chrome to access it.

I am also attaching the file for everyone.

It is no cost at all. Just make sure you have the latest drivers for your phone.

OK, what you do is you download the file I attached. Once you download the file, unzip the ZIP file and extract the program RootGenius

Now, run this program as administrator. It will begin to run. MAKE SURE you have your latest drivers available from Kyocera for your Hydro

Next you will see this screen

Click next and follow the onscreen instructions. Once you have done this, it will show a progress indicator and finally it will either say Root succeeded or Root Failed.

Once it has rooted, download Root Checker Basic from The Play store and check your rooting

It's actually self explanatory, unless you go directly to the site, where you may want to use Chrome so you can get an Automatic Translation

One other thing I may have forgotten to mention. I had tried, over the past two weeks, all of the currently listed programs, such as Bin4ry, One Click Root, etc. NONE of them worked on my Hydro, which I bought last month. This is the ONLY program that works

It does install and APK and Game manager (all in Chinese) which can be safely and easily removed. TB and other root only programs work fine now

I have big trust issues with strange chinese programs. Instead, try Cydia Impactor.
Cydia Impactor
works on the rise and event, so it should definitely work on the hydro. Plus, it's in english.

thanks for the info on this i tried this app was so easy to use and worked perfect when every other way i tried failed.. this does work perfect thank you i am now rooted...

Cydia Impactor hacked my account, posted that it "worked like a charm". I have never heard of it. Beware!

Tried Cydia Impactor..worked like a charm! Kyocera Hydro.

I was hacked! I did not try cydia impactor! Ever! I did not post this.
