New news on 2.1 (with link)

I forget where I saw this, Gizmodo or Engadget maybe, but I think Verizon has backtracked on this a bit. Something about it's going to their testers this week, but not out to customers for a while longer.
I guess that's the case since Feb 10 has come and gone and there's no update :/
 
Thanks for the link. I am contemplating buying a Motorola Milestone because my HTC Hero kept dumping my calls to answer phone. I was wondering though. In the link you posted it said that 2.1 would be an OTA update. How does that work? If I buy an unlocked phone off fleabay for instance my service provider does not know I have a Milestone and that it requires updating. Is it something inbuilt into the phone that checks for the update. Sorry to sound thick but it is something that has been puzzling me for a while.
 
Not sure of you would get the ota on an unlocked phone but the update.zip file will be posted online and youncould.always force the update ;)
