Help New nexus owner..fw question

Just decided to replace my n1 and had a quick question about firmware. My phone out of the box came with 2.3.1. When i tried to update from the phone it says it is up to date. What is the easiest way to update it to possibly .2 -.3?

Download this file:

Place it in the root of the SD card, boot into recovery, and apply.

Mine came on 2.3.1 and got an OTA a day later for 2.3.2.

Either use the manual method or be patient
