Root New Nook Color

Another nook color user here. I am interested in making mine a full blown android tablet. It's a version 1.2.0 Model BNRV200. While I cant consider myself a techie, I do feel confident I can root this little gadget with some straight forward instructions. However, it seems everywhere I've looked, the instructions seem to be in great detail. And this causes me to wonder, what am I suppose to do now ?

I'd like to have the latest and the greatest Nook Color Android Tablet. All the nifty bells and whistles. Can anyone direct me to a place that can give me the easiest to understand, straight forward directions, without a lot of extra FYI details ?

Is this assuming that the NC is already rooted ?

Yes, Rom Manager requires root.

You need to create a bootable sdcard and use that method.

Do I root first ? Then make a bootable card ?

That would be a waste of time since you're just going to replace your stock rom with CM9, right?

Just create the bootable sdcard, boot from it, wipe, flash your rom, then flash gApps.
