Root new nook. order to root and flash

Greetings,

I have rooted several of the pre-blue dot nook colors without issue. Now I am going to attempt to flash a blue dot one over to cm7. Here is what I believe needs to be done.

Root using manual nooter
re-partition the space to change it back to the old memory format
boot into clockwork and flash cm7

Does this sound right? is there an easier way to get this done at this time? I have read a lot of the sticky and still had questions. Can I just go straight to the install phiremod without root and gain root that way then partition the space?

Thanks in advance

I don't have time to confirm all of this, but here is what I believe:

No need to root first. CM7 is rooted.

Maybe or maybe not need to repartition. I think that CM7 might be able to work either way now, but I'm not terribly certain on that.

Make a bootable CWR sd, load into it, flash CM7. Double-check me, though.

I flashed Phiremod 6.3(cm7.0.3 based) onto a blue dot a week ago. It seems fine with the new partitioning.

Here is what I did for my blue dot nook. Made a bootable CWM. Put a folder on the root of the card with cm7, gapps, and the two re-partitioning zip files. booted into CWM and flashed the two zip files to re-partition. Then I flashed cm7 and the gapps. Turned off the nook and removed the bootable CWM SD. Put in a 16gig sd card and booted it up in CM7. I know all this info is already out there, but to me it was not stated plainly. Thanks for your guidance Flu.
