new notification icon

After I updated to 4.4.2 I have a new icon in my notification bar. It looks like the letter "Z" turned on its side. What does it mean?

NFC is active , near field communication, go into settings and uncheck it that should make the icon go away

Your welcome, you should probably go into all your settings and make sure other stuff hasn't been turned on. A friend of mine had all kinds of things active after the update such as smart stay and a lot of other motion stuff. Big battery drainers
