New OS Update Has Bugs

So, I installed the latest OS update yesterday and have a few annoying bugs.

1.) The Timer doesn't have a "Reset" button to set it back to zero.

2.) This is REALLY annoying. I can no longer pull down the menu of active apps, and shut them off, namely my iHeart app. I can Pause it, but I need to shut it down.

Swipe down on the notifications bar, then swipe down again on the iHeart notification. It should open up further and show you a cancel button.

That's what I'm trying to tell you. There IS NO iHeart notification on the notifications bar. Believe me, I have looked and looked. The only way I could make it shutup is do a Force Stop. As for the Reset on the Timer

on nougat boot into recovery and clear cache
then you need to open each affected app and runn it one time make sure the notifications are on (in app) and allowed (in system)

No apologies necessary. We are all inept when we do something for the first time.
Power off your phone.

Press and hold down the following 3 keys simultaneously. Volume up, Power and Home.

Keep holding the keys down till you see a bright blue line of words (power rebooting) on the top of your screen.

Let go of the keys.

Be patient in all the remaining steps.

You will then see a circle with the words ' installing update' followed by a fairly reasonable period where you will see the android dummy lying flat and the words 'no command' on the screen. Be patient.

The screen will now change with lines in gold followed by lines in blue. The top Blue Line will be highlighted with a blue background 'Reboot system now '. Be careful now.

Use the lower volume key to move the highlighted line down to 'Wipe cache partition'.

Once this is highlighted press the power key.

The window will change offering you 'No' and 'yes' options. Use the lower volume key to highlight 'yes' and then press the power key.

The window will change with 'Reboot system now' highlighted. Press the power key.

Your Samsung will now reboot with the system cache cleared.

Will this fix the dynamic calendar icon as well? It worked with 6.0. I use nova launcher and stealth icon pack
